Log home living is awesome!
Welcome to the online home of the Log Homeowners' Association! Founders Drew and Dawn Crandall are long-time log homeowners in the rustic hills and woods of Tolland County, Connecticut. It's an ideal setting for a log home, surrounded by trees and rocks; invisible from the road with a long, uphill dirt driveway. The slogan of their home is "No Rushing." Log home living is a much-needed refuge from their hectic, fast-paced lives as business owners!
As you have probably discovered, log homes have their "quirks," and finding the right products, services and methods can be a challenge! Drew and Dawn couldn't find a local, non-commercial source of information, so they decided to do something about it. This new Association is a humble, grassroots attempt to build community and to provide a forum where fellow log homeowners can share their experiences and provide tips on exterior and interior construction, maintenance, design, decorating, entertaining and more.
For now, we're focusing our initial efforts on our own backyard, Connecticut. If the organization grows "organically" into adjacent states and beyond over time, we'll be sensitive to that. In the meantime, we're going to bloom where we're planted!
We invite you to submit content for possible publication on our website and in our e-newsletter!
